Special Angles and the Trigonometric Functions 1

Hey Everyone It's Angelique,

Today in class we finished the few remaining examples from The Unit Circle. Also we learned about The Special Angles and the Trigonometric Functions. We learned about the Six Trigonometric Functions which are:

sin
Ө = opposite
           hypotenuse

cos
Ө = adjacent
            hypotenuse

tan
Ө = opposite    or   sinӨ
           adjacent          cos
Ө

csc
Ө = hypotenuse
            opposite

sec
Ө = hypotenuse
            adjacent

cot
Ө = adjacent    or   cosӨ
           opposite          sinӨ

We also learned that...
the reciprocal of sin is csc
the reciprocal of cos is sec
the reciprocal of tan is cot

and that Special Angles are most angles on the unit circle that are based on reference angles of either 30°, 45°, or 60°.
